Nana Tanjung (The Series)...really has potential

Last monday, I had the opportunity to catch TV9's latest offering at 10pm which just happened to be Nana Tanjung (The Series) which just happens to be a continuation of the Nana Tanjung film series. I went into the show just for the sake of it, didn't want to expect too much and then get dissapointed so I made sure not to get my hopes up. And what a smart decesion that was, I found the show freakin' hilarious it's as if these characters had been acting together for years! I really think Apek is making a strong comeback with this series, his add libbed dialogue is just too random at times its shockingly funny his combination with Piee works like a charm with that
"Father/Son-in law" relationship thing going.
Honestly speaking from what I've seen from the first episode, I think Apek is back to his comedic best. Basically Apek portrays Akhbar, the son in law of Nana portrayed by Piee. Akhbar is married to Nana's eldest daughter Jehan (portrayed by newcomer Alliesha Amir) and we get to see what day to day life looks life for this newly wed as he tries to adapt himself into this new family of his. Completing the cast is Sheila Mambo, Ros Ramona, Waheeda and of course the ever so awesome Fouziah Gous who to me really is the shows star. Something about her character just adds so much flavor to a scene, like in the first episode when she finds Akhbar's "golf" receipt. Honestly, I can't wait to see more of Fouziah's Dewi character in the coming episodes. This show reminds me of some American sitcoms like Dharma and Greg, Mad about you and most of all the film "Father of The Bride" starring Steve Martin. I really think I'm gonna be stuck to the TV Set next Monday at 10pm, I thin you guys should too. :) Peace.
